Hiya!!! I’m a Girl Guide leader and I’m trying to organize my units first ever camping trip and would really love it if we could get some girly, pink camping equipment to try and make it more interesting for the girls, but i can’t find any anywhere, they need to be quite good quality, do you know where i can find any???

Well I don’t think pink camping equipment will make it more interesting cause the color wont mater once it gets all dirty and Pink Camping Equipment might be a tad bit obvious that its an all girl camp site that might not be very safe… Also girls need to lead the have fun Camping is not about being Girly its about getting dirty and having a blast!

So to answer you question NO I don’t know where to get pink camping stuff…

scroll down, there are some “Girly” sleeping bags.

have a blast, and thanks for getting some young gals into camping. Only good things can come from that.

I’m a Girl Scout leader…I take my girls camping every year a couple of times. We have a lot of fun, and we don’t have pink stuff.

The key to having fun is good planning. Have plenty of interesting things to do. Are you outdoor education trained? Do you or another woman in your unit know how to build a fire, set up tents, use a compass or GPS unit?

I’d plan on cooking meals over fires you and the girls build. That gives them a sense of accomplishment…which is fun!

Tell scary stories and roast s’mores over the campfire.

Sleep in tents in sleeping bags.

Hike, fish, swim (make sure someone there is a lifeguard if possible), Geocache (see), do some crafts, have a scavenger hunt, try archery (find a certified instructor). Lots of possible fun without pink stuff.

Hey, I am all for the girly camping, but as for practical purposes I would try to get a little bit of it. The amount of dirt and insects and food and fire wood/fires that you will be playing with out there will just demolish anything pink faster. It’s only going to be pretty for a while.

So I admire your spirit and feel you should get SOME pink, but try not to overdo it. I know that places like cabelas.com sells pink stuff now for camping and fishing.

If you have a sportsmans wear-house in your area they have pink stuff too. For the person that said “we go camping without pink and we have fun.” Well good for them, they aren’t you! You will have fun no matter what and I admire that you are trying to make sure your girls are into it so don’t let ol’ miss poopy pants get you down!

    Good luck and happy camping!
